📝 About the Role:
Swiggy is seeking a results-driven Area Manager I to lead and streamline operations in Kochi. As part of the core operations team, you will manage delivery efficiency, customer experience, and the performance of India’s largest fleet of delivery executives. You’ll play a pivotal role in scaling operations, enhancing logistics, and driving regional excellence.
🎯 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Fleet Managers and oversee the performance of delivery hubs.
- Drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and delivery fulfillment.
- Manage staffing, training, and retention plans for delivery executives.
- Liaise with strategic and implementation teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Resolve disputes, manage strikes, and enforce compliance with uniforms and ID protocols.
- Monitor real-time metrics: delivery time, customer satisfaction, cancellations, etc.
- Support system/process improvements and ensure high service levels are consistently maintained.
🧑💼 Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Education: Graduate
- Experience: 4–5 years in Operations / Logistics / Supply Chain Management
- Strong leadership experience, especially managing blue-collar teams
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and time-management skills
- Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple delivery hubs
- Strong communication and conflict management skills
- Customer-first approach with attention to detail and problem-solving ability
